It is roumored that from the sale of liquor the revenue is many times more than tax collected thru other means by the government of Tamil Nadu. So, the State has resolved to run its own chain of TASMAC liquor shops it puts to bargain to be owned by those who stand an inch taller in financial might than others willing to own the same.

I want to apply this rule to business tycoons willing to own IPL cricket teams of their choice to run their shows under the patronage of our Central Government. Yes. Lalu Prasad has also said so. He is not my maternal uncle for anyone to relate him to me with the similarity of thought.

Lalit Modi has dirty records to justify his Chairmanship of the IPL. He flies high in helicoptors as his bodyguards holding his bullet-proof jackets wherever he goes. Lalit Modi is now a headless chicken (sorry Mr. Ronen Sen) to have pecked down the ministership of Shashi Taroor tearing that vertically apart. The hunter in Lalit Modi is now being hunted and haunted. Lalit Modi's greed for power and money will die as naturally as any old person above 85 ebbs out for certain with his grudge on life for not giving him a chance again to rule the roost. My point of blog is not Lalit Modi but the Central Government owning the IPL and generate wealth to distribute to the general public in India. But then, there are Ketan Desai type government servants waiting for their opportunity to "serve our nation" to become Lalit Modis and Sharad Pawars.

God save the agriculture in India.

Sharad Pawar though the minister for agriculture in India, the department of agriculture has a cricket patron and baron as its head. He was once bodily pushed out of the podium by Ricky Ponting of Oz. As is he ever, Sharad Pawar is still seen among cricketers and cricket related meetings while his ministry is a hapless spectator to the dozens of suicides taking place among farmers in Sharad Pawar's Maharashtra!

Had it been Singapore, for his deriliction of ministerial duty, Sr. Minister, Mentor Lee Kuan Yew would have reserved a special cell for Sharad Pawar in the Changi Prison. It is India and who cares the farmers but the nation must care cricketers and the gamble they play in different formats. Some Union Ministers are shame to India and they should be simply not sacked out of the Union Cabinet, but should be jailed for their nonchalance to their ministerial responsibilities.
